When you book your massage, you’ll be asked to complete a health consultation form where you can list any medical conditions. Once reviewed, we may contact you to request confirmation from your GP or healthcare provider to ensure that massage is safe for you.

 

Massage may not be suitable if you have certain medical conditions or acute injuries—such as infections, recent surgeries, blood-clotting conditions, severe inflammation, or fresh injuries. If you’re unsure, please speak with your GP or healthcare provider before booking to ensure massage therapy is safe for you.

 

Please note that massage cannot be provided if you have active cancer, a fever, a contagious illness, or if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy.

You may book a massage for someone else if you know all their relevant information for the health consultation form. If it is a surprise, ensure you input your email address so you recieve the confirmation email.

A muscle “knot” is a tight, sensitive spot in a muscle where the fibres have become tense and stuck together. It often feels like a small lump or hard area, and it can cause soreness, stiffness, or pain when pressed. It’s basically the muscle’s way of saying it’s overworked, stressed, or hasn’t been moving properly.

 

Deep knots often take time to release, so regular massage is important. Consistent treatment helps gradually loosen the fibres, improve blood flow, and prevent the knot from returning, reducing pain and stiffness over the long term.

For group massages, you can reserve the booking time and date online and we will contact you to confirm the details for the group booking. Alternatively, please contact us with your details including group size and treatment requests.

All you need for a home massage is a space of about 6 feet, suitable for a massage table, along with 3 large towels, 2 standard-sized pillows, and 1 small towel. Don’t worry if you don’t have exactly these items—we can work with what you do have.

A minimum of one massage per month is recommended for stress relief, relaxation, and overall body maintenance. If you have chronic muscle tension, pain, or are recovering from an injury, every 1–2 weeks may be more beneficial.

We cover the Manchester and Cheshire area. If your location is over 10 miles away from Chorlton Rooms (M21 0RQ) a travel fee will of £5 per 10 miles to and from your location.

We are based in Chorlton. If you prefer to go out for your massage, you can choose to book your massage at Chorlton Rooms for a £10 fee.
